LET'S RIDE - MAY 15,  2027!

ONE RIDE, ONE GOAL, BEAT BRAIN CANCER!

​RIDE HIGHLIGHTS

  • Gary's annual brain cancer bike ride is held rain or shine the 3rd Saturday in May (all sales final)

  • It's a bike ride and a post-ride celebration with food and fun for the whole family

  • Adults, youth, riders and non-riders are all welcome!

  • The ride begins in Waukee at the corner of Hickman Rd / Hwy 6 and NW 10th Street - the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead in Waukee

  • The ride completes in Dallas Center for the post-ride celebration (exact location TBD)

  • Riders choose 1 of 3 marked routes:

    1. Waukee to Dallas Center:  6 miles​

    2. Waukee to Hwy 69 in Minburn then on to Dallas Center:  18 Miles

    3. Waukee to Hwy 141 before Perry then on to Dallas Center:  32 Miles​

  • We encourage you to register online by May 1, so we can better plan headcount and so you can SAVE $5 ON REGISTRATION PER PERSON!  Adult Riders registered by May 1 also receive the promotional item.

  • Online registration remains open through ride day and you can also register in person

  • Credit card payments preferred, but cash & checks are also accepted

  • Review the release of liability waiver here

RIDE DAY SCHEDULE

  • 9:00am

    • check-in / registration opens in Waukee.  

    • Bring your digital ticket or tell us the name of the customer who registered

    • All items will be distributed to the first person checking in 

    • Overflow parking is available at Shottenkirk.  Please do NOT park on NW 10th street.

    • Every participant receives a wristband with a BEVERAGE TAB - don't cut / remove this

    • Every participant receives a FOOD TICKET

    • Adult Riders registered by May 1 receive the promotional item as well as those who chose to purchase the promotional item.  Promotional items will not be available on ride day given print deadlines.

  • 9:50am riders line-up for instructions and remarks from Founder & President, Kristin Wiedenfeld

  • 10:00am ride begins!

  • 10:30am

    • Check-In / registration opens in Dallas Center​ (for those as needed)

    • Post-ride celebration begins in Dallas Center (location TBD)

    • Visit the Gary's Ride tent for information and assistance

  • 2:00pm 

    • Post-ride celebration concludes​

    • Food & Beverage service ends for Gary's Ride, so be sure to get your items in advance!
